about

My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
Psalm 108:1

Grizzly Caterpillar is the forth studio album by Australian acoustic guitarist Alan Gogoll. A mixture of both newly composed and re-imagined works from previous albums,Grizzly Caterpillar is a further refinement and exploration of the solo guitar, featuring Alan's own 'bell harmonics' technique, as heard in the track Pepperleaf Pipes and signature guitar tuning throughout the album. To capture a softer and more subtle sound for this album, each of the 15 tracks were performed on a nylon string guitar and recorded over a two day period at Zion Songs Studios in Margate, Tasmania. The album illustration is a commissioned work by renown UK illustrator Fran Evans.

Grizzly Caterpillar lives in Porridge Pines in a little place called Bellflower Burrows, and when Whimsical Toad Buttons On his Brown vest and Owl's Friend the Eloquent Frog plays his Pepperleaf Pipes, All The Animals dance to Echidna's Parade, as their Apricot Eyes glisten till Half Past May.
